FOR Love & skateboarding
We love skateboarders. We love skateboarding. Many people in the skateboarding community feel hopeless, anxious, alone and rejected. In the search for an answer they turn to substances and behaviors of self-harm that only make matters worse.
Restore is a non profit organization dedicated to helping people find the love, hope, and acceptance they are searching for through community, care, and opportunities to connect and serve.
Love heals. Love hopes above all else. Love fights for the lives of others. Love honors people. Love lights up the darkest parts of our lives. Love never gives up. Love never fails.
WHAT WE DO
ONE ON ONE
We meet with people personally.
Through mentoring and certified coaching conversations, we create space for honesty, growth, and next steps. These conversations are free and focused on helping individuals move forward in practical ways.
Research supports this approach. Guider.org reports that mentoring reduces isolation and anxiety, increases confidence, helps people feel heard, and builds hope for the future. Mentees consistently show higher rates of goal achievement and personal success.
We are not therapy. But we provide tools, encouragement, and help people connect with professional care when needed.
Healing does not happen alone.
Every week, we gather to build real community through skateboarding and shared time together. This is where trust grows, identity is strengthened, and people realize they are not alone.
NIH studies show that a strong sense of community significantly reduces symptoms of depression, anxiety, and stress.
Restore is committed to being that kind of community — consistent, safe, and relational.
IN community
FOR OTHERS
We don’t just receive support. We learn to give it.
Each month, we serve together through hands-on community outreach, including our WHEEL BITES mission to our un-housed neighbors.
Mayo Clinic research shows that volunteering improves mental health, increases sense of purpose, teaches valuable skills, and strengthens relationships.
Serving helps break stigma, builds empathy, and reminds people they matter — and that they can make a difference.
